To catch you all up on a few Isabella Go-ings ons...

The Fun continues as Isabella becomes her own little person! You know as mommy or daddy you've got your own "To Do" list that you'd like to accomplish on a weekend. Well, Isabella's "To Do" list consists of removing all of the tops and bottoms from her drawers (that I just washed, dried, folded and put away)and placing them where she would like them to go. All without the peering eyes of mom!
Now before you Judge...REALIZE that if you knew her dad and grandmother Susan, you would understand that this is innate! She craves a good cleaning supply like most kids crave juice!

This girl loves to walk...EVERYWHERE! She must have inherited that from Poppa!

I find it so entirely entertaining that shadows and minute bumps on the sidewalk are major roadblocks for little nugget. She is soooo overly cautious that she will stop in her tracks and scream for just a finger to provide the safety net she requires to climb that "mountain".
At that same time, when she's on the go...she's on the go!

More leisurely reading. Over and over I find myself saying..."She's soooooooo funny!"
We may do some entertaining stuff this weekend, well really she may entertain us this wkend, so I will try and post again soon!

Miss Independent

Isabella has been up to some silly antics that have added to our entertainment. This mini video shows her new face. She's soo funny!!

She loves, loves, loves dogs and often mimics their tendency to hide things. When the remote went missing, we found it in one of her purses. When the coupon/gift card holder went missing, we found it in the cupboard with the pots and pans. Oh and we found Mike's phone there too! She greets all of her four legged friends on our walk and screams to the them on the t.v.
She is also crazy about her chairs. She moves from her adirondack chair, to her cushiony chair, to a booster chair that she has pulled out. It's funny to see her clean her adirondack chair with a cloth while she's sitting in it, or slump in her cushiony chair and look at pictures from daddy's phone (hence the missing phone). The booster chair, who knows what's going on there b/c it faces the opposite direction of the living room, but she's content to try and buckle herself in. Tonight we were absolutely amazed that she realized she couldn't get into the adirondack chair with a remote in her hands, so, she put it on the arm of the chair, climbed in, spun around, then the grabbed the remote and proceeded to change the channels.

Walking is the latest amazement. She is soo set on walking!! She jingles all the way from the car to the door in her fancy socks made by Miss Becca. Hours of entertainment!!

lunch date for Team P tomorrow. We'll be sure to take some pics for the sharing!

Cleaning with a Toddler That WALKS

Ok, let's test drive this blog thingy...Today was Team P's "super clean" cleaning day. Cleaning with a mobile toddler is like sweeping in a sandbox. A crazy Idea!
As we were focused on dusting, laundering, mopping, and organizing...Isabella was focused on making smudgy fingerprint marks, unfolding clothes (when she tried to pick up a pile), pulling clothes from her drawers, and getting into... everything. I had intended to post a picture of her loading the laundry but she fell, dad swooped her up and I snapped back to reality from the "what can I bloggity blog" dreamworld.
Nap time was comparable to the Indy 500. Nugget goes to "recharge" and were left zipping around trying to complete the chores that are the most difficult to do when she's about. I nicknamed her "boomerang" today because I would march her to the other room, run back to quickly sweep or dust, and she'd be back at my heels in minutes. Of course it became a game!
And if her mobility wasn't a challenge, let's add in her ever increasing desire to demonstrate her independence. Today, she didn't want to wear clothes! Initially she wore shorts. After playing in the kiddie pool (a great distracter for sweeping the porch), she sported a diaper. Yes, just a diaper, until about 6pm. Then, she found a pair of tooo small  hippy flower print purple leggings. Yes, she was pulling clothes out of her drawers, clothes that were cleaned and folded! For the remainder of the night she climbed in and out of her mini adirondack chair all while sporting her "free bird" outfit.
So I ask...How do you juggle cleaning and entertaining a mobile toddler?
